See You Next Week!

Millgrove staff is ready to welcome back students whose last name starts with A-K on Monday and L-Z on Tuesday.  Please look for your classroom’s colour.  Grade 1 is the purple cohort, grade 1/2 is the green cohort, grade 2/3 is the red cohort, grade 3/4 is the orange cohort and grade 4/5 is the yellow cohort.  Childcare will follow the cohort groupings and students will play in their cohort space outside.  Please complete the student attestation if you have not done so as children can not enter the school until this is complete.  Remember to screen your children daily before sending them to school to keep us all healthy and safe.  We are asking that no equipment come from home as we only sanitize school equipment and it will be tempting for students to share balls and other items from home.  Each class has colour coded equipment that they will use throughout the day.  This equipment will be sanitized daily.  The HWDSB sent out a notice that busing information is coming this weekend.  Expect long delays due to the bus driver shortage.  Please remember that there is no drop off or pick up in the school parking lot.  Please park across the street, not on the shoulder, and walk your child to the back of the school to their cohort space.  Grade 4 and 5 students can go home on their own, so call the office if you would like your child to walk or bike home on their own.  If you are late, expect to wait for a few minutes before entry as our procedures have changed as the HWDSB has updated its school visitor protocol.  Millgrove staff has put together a welcome, bloopers included, that you can access in your child’s Hub page.  Remember to check your child’s Hub page as well as the Millgrove School site for updates.    We look forward to a different but amazing year with all of our wonderful Millgrove families.
