Upcoming Workshops for our Grade 1 & 2 Classes

On May 17th, 18th, and 19th, Grade one and two students will be attending three workshops organized by The Bay Area Restoration Council in Hamilton. The first presentation will be all about Creeks and Creepy Crawlies. During this presentation students will be able to examine several preserved aquatic invertebrate specimens from our local creeks, streams and rivers. During the second presentation, students will learn how turtles are an important part of plant and wildlife ecosystems and how they are often threatened by human activity and non-native species. Finally, students will attend a workshop all about frogs and learn how frogs are an important species in our local wetlands and face many threats.
