Pink Shirt Day – On Wednesday, February 23, 2020, HWDSB students and staff will join together in celebrating Pink Shirt Day. Wearing a pink shirt is one small but powerful way for us to show that we stand together against bullying of all kinds and that it has no place in our schools and communities. This year’s focus of Pink Shirt Day is centred around the theme of “lift each other up”. In addition to classroom conversations and activities, we will also have a virtual assembly to support consistent messaging and a school-wide approach. Bus Seating – To families with children who ride the bus, we ask that you remind your child each morning to sit in their assigned seat. Seating has been arranged on most busses to support students in sitting with siblings and same-age peers as well as to improve supervision.
