Thank you to those who contributed to our last video. There were some very thoughtful and fun contributions to the heroes’ themes. Thanks again to Mrs. Widdup for putting together the video. Enjoy.
Picking Up Student Belongings – Many families have been asking to access the school to pick up items left behind by their child(ren). A protocol has been developed by our board and this process can begin as early as June 4. Over the next few days, we will be reaching out to parents and providing further information as to how the protocol will work. Please stay posted.
Grade 4 and 5 Yearbook Cover Contest – Calling all Grade 4 & 5 artists! We are holding a yearbook cover contest! The winning Grade 5 entry will appear on the front cover and a collage of other top entries will create the back cover. Entries are due by June 15th.
- Format art for 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper
- Vertical orientation
- Parents can send a digital copy to [email protected]
All entries:
- Must include the words “Mary Hopkins School” and state the school year “2019-2020”.
- It can include your interpretation of our mascot, Hopkins Hawk (optional).
Tips for a successful entry:
- Consider how you can use colour to make your cover stand out.
- You may use crayons, markers, paint, coloured pencils, or any other medium to draw and colour.
- Use up the whole sheet of paper. Keep what’s important in the design (ie: our school name) away from the paper edges to avoid the artwork being cut in the trim process.
