Thank you to everyone who participated in our What Are You Reading Spirit Day. It was fantastic to see our students sharing their favourite reads from the last few weeks and sharing their love of reading with others. Be sure to check out our Twitter feed on spirit days.
Spirit Days – Our next spirit day is planned for this Thursday. Thursday was scheduled to be our Open House, so we would like to mark it by connecting with the Mary Hopkins community.
Our theme is Not All Heroes Wear Capes – Who are your heroes real or fictional? No explanations required. Post your submission (e.g. My hero is…Wayne Gretzky, Hermione Granger, Iron Man, Chris Hadfield) to your virtual classroom by photo or discussion, or on Twitter by tagging @MaryHopkins_K_5. If you would like to be part of the Mary Hopkins video that will be shared with our community, please also send your photo to [email protected] by Sunday, May 10.
Out of Catchment – Our kindergarten registration is underway and planning for September is started. A reminder to families that our school is closed to out of catchment students. Families that have moved over the course of the school year are expected to register for their new home school for September.
