March Break Campus Tours at OCAD U
Campus tours will be running all through March Break (March 16 to 21) this year so if OCAD University is in your plans for the future please take advantage of this opportunity. Catch a glimpse of student life in their shops, studios, classrooms and student spaces while also being introduced to their Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) and all the career services they have to offer.
Parent-Teacher Conference Information
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on March 26th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Please see the attached document which explains how to book interview time with your child’s teachers. If you experience problems please feel free to call the Main Office and we will be pleased to help make your appointment for you.
Study and Go Abroad
The Study and Go Abroad Fair is coming back to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Sunday, March 1st. This free expo is a great opportunity for students to start planning their next step in education, or to learn more about experiential travel, including volunteer opportunities in Canada and abroad.
At the expo, students will be able to meet face-to-face with universities from around the world, and learn about admission requirements, scholarships and program choices for undergraduate-level programs.
The expo is from 1-5:00 pm, but the Feature Info Session on Scholarships starts at 12 noon. Info Sessions are held throughout the expo – see schedule below:
12 pm – The Search for Scholarships
1 pm – Studying Law in the UK – Your Route Into the Profession
2 pm – Choosing a University in the UK
3 pm – The Benefits of Educational Travel and Experiential Learning
4 pm – Do You Want to Study Medicine? Attend Avalon University on the Beautiful Island of Curaçao!

Semester 1 Final Report Cards
Semester 1 Final Report Cards were handed out to students on Wednesday, February 12 by their current homeroom teacher.
Expiring Red and White Health Cards – very important, please note!!
July 1st, 2020
Are the classic red and white Ontario health cards expiring? Yes, they are finally expiring this year – July 1st, 2020.
If you receive a letter in the mail to replace or update your health card, you have 30 days to replace it or else it will expire.
Please don’t wait until the last minute. You never know when you will need your health card and don’t want be denied service.
TIMETABLE CHANGES – Semester 2
As we begin Semester 2, the following process must be followed for changes to timetables
Students will be seen on a priority basis (Green form). Those students with a SEEGUID, a blank on their timetable, or who are scheduled to take a course for which they do not have a prerequisite will be seen first. Once all priority changes have been made, we will talk to students wishing to change classes (Pink form). Please be aware that most classes are full and requested changes may not be able to be made. Your patience as we work through this process is appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: Pink and Green forms will only be given out until Thursday, February 6 and all changes must be completed by Wednesday, February 12.

University and College Visits
Various universities and colleges have booked time to come in to the school and answer your questions concerning their respective campuses and course offerings. Please see the following schedule for the University or College of your choice. All visits will take place during lunch period in the Library Learning Commons. Please take a moment to jot down the questions you wish to ask them so that you are prepared.
There will be another chance to meet representatives from both International and Canadian universities and colleges at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Sunday, October 27. Free tickets are available in Student Services.
