Lawfield was re-opened in December 2007. It is a JK – Grade 8 school of 774 students with a Grade 1 to 8 French Immersion program.
The school is designed to support 21st century teaching and learning. The two-story structure is energy efficient and capitalizes on beautiful natural light captured by the vast windows. Lawfield includes a music room, a double gymnasium, a fresh and bright atrium, daycare, 30 learning spaces and 6 portables. All the learning spaces are equipped with technology: built in Frontrow sound systems with teachers miced to clarify and evenly disribute sound, wall mounted smart boards, ceiling mounted LCD projectors, wireless, laptop computer stations, document cameras, and shared iPads.
