Weekly News April 13

Hi All,

Our staff and I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter weekend.  This week we will be handing out iPads to students who do not have iPads to use at home.  Here is what to expect:

Tuesday: We will be making phone calls in the morning to those families who have indicated their child(ren) need an iPad and to those families whose child(ren) need their SEA devices.  We will ask you if you still need an iPad, have access to the internet and tell you your pick up time and whether you will be picking up with a vehicle or walk-up. Expect a call in the morning.

Wednesday: Staff will be packing the iPads for distribution.  Each bag will contain an iPad, cube, charger, Acceptable Use of Consent sheet and a Shared iPad FAQ sheet.

Thursday: You will come at your allotted time to pick up you child’s iPad.

Vehicle pick-up: Pick up will take place in the staff parking lot.  You will enter the staff parking lot from Broker Drive and exit onto Kingslea Drive.  There will be pylons to mark entry, where to stop (next to the table)  and exit.  For everyone’s safety, you are to remain in your car, will be asked to identify for whom you are picking up an iPad, and to pop open your trunk to have the iPad placed in there.  If you cannot pop open your trunk, we will place the iPad on the table, leave the area, and then you will open your door, retrieve the iPad from the table and drive off.

Walk-Up pickup: You will pick up the iPad from a table set up outside the main entrance at your allotted time.  You will identify whom you are picking up the iPad, back up away from the table, and then we will place the iPad on the table for you to retrieve.

We will not be handing out iPads to students; iPads will be handed out to adults 18 years of age and older.  , The pick up time is a ten minute window.
