Goodbye and Thank you

Dear Greensville Community,

It is a bittersweet day for me. After 37 years in public education, it is time for me to move on to the next phase of my life- retirement.

I wanted to thank this community for the partnership, the caring and the dedication you have for the school. This is a unique community, one with strength, compassion  and resilience. You have worked with us through challenging times and  uncertainty as we have maneuvered our way through a pandemic and a move. Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us daily.

Your children have been true heroes throughout. They pivot, adapt, and bring joy to this building every day. It has been a privilege to be their Principal.

Your parent leadership through past volunteering, School Council and Home and School has been a constant as we navigated each new and challenging situation over the past few years. Thank you to Linda VanPelt, Kristen Weber, Michelle Toner and Erin deSouza -Bruce. You have been with us every step of the way, representing families and the community in a forward thinking and positive manner.

Thank you to the countless families with whom I have had the fortune of working. Your kids are amazing. Keeping Kids First has always been my mantra- and I have appreciated working with you as we help kids to become their best selves.

Your new Principal is named Ms. Jennifer Miscas. Her first day will be February 1st. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Greensville. I know that you will be  in good hands.

Stay well,

Audrey Hensen
