False fire alarm

Dear Families,

This letter is to inform you that today at George L. Armstrong the fire alarm was triggered.

As per the HWDSB Fire Safety Plan, we evacuated our school and called 911. Hamilton Fire Department responded and inspected the school. No danger was located, and no one was injured. It was a false alarm, caused by one of our younger students who accidently triggered the alarm.  All of our students did exactly what we have practiced, followed all instructions and we were outside for a very short period of time.
