False fire alarm
This letter is to inform you that today at George L. Armstrong the fire alarm was triggered.
As per the HWDSB Fire Safety Plan, we evacuated our school and called 911. Hamilton Fire Department responded and inspected the school. No danger was located, and no one was injured. It was a false alarm, caused by one of our younger students who accidently triggered the alarm. All of our students did exactly what we have practiced, followed all instructions and we were outside for a very short period of time.
We want you to know that student safety is of the utmost importance at George L. Armstrong. If you have any questions regarding this occurrence, please contact the school at (905) 385-5337. We thank all parents, guardians and students for their understanding.
