Terry Fox Run @ FC
Terry Fox is a Canadian hero who ran 5374 kilometres in just 143 days in 1980. He brought hope for cancer patients and cancer research by running in the “Marathon of Hope”, in his quest to run from coast to coast. Today, Terry Fox runs are held in locations throughout the world.
Flamborough Centre’s Terry Fox run this year takes place on Thursday, October 1, following first nutrition break. Classes will abide by physical distancing requirements by taking turns running around the lower field. Grade 8 students leaders will have music playing, as we have done in past years.
Unlike previous years, we will not be able to participate in fundraising for cancer research within the school. However, families that are interested in making a donation are encouraged to visit terryfox.org, in order to make an online donation. Thank you for your continued support!
