PA Day – Friday, November 27

On Friday, November 27th, all HWDSB school staff will be participating in Professional Learning Activities.   Schools will be closed to students on this day.

Please note that Umbrella’s Before/After/PA Day program will also not be open on November 27th at Dundana.

Typically at this time of year, we are given a PA Day and an evening to complete Parent/Guardian interviews for all students.  This year,  all staff are required to participate in online compliance training for half of this day and the evening session is not an option for us.  As a result, Dundana educators will only be available in the morning of November 27th to complete on-going parent communication.  Educators will be focusing their parent communication time on students requiring specific and more complex next steps, or who are currently progressing with difficulty in certain subject areas.  If your child’s educator doesn’t reach out to you at this time, you are still welcome to pose questions to them and they will reply when available.

As we are still under public health restrictions, visitors are still prohibited from the school.  All parent communication must be conducted by telephone or by MS Teams.  We are not able to facilitate meetings in person at this time.

As always, all of the educators at Dundana will continue to work to observe, assess and plan instruction and next steps appropriate for each student.  Please feel free to contact your child’s educator(s) if you have questions about your child’s progress.
