Letter from Physical Education Teachers

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to welcome you back to Chedoke for the 2021/2022 school year.

There will be some changes to the Physical Education program this year that we would like to share with you.  Students must wear running shoes to participate in Phys. Ed. activities. As much as possible we will be having Phys. Ed. classes outside.

Please dress for the weather (e.g., hats, sunscreen, jackets, warm clothing on cool days) and bring an extra change of socks in case the grass is damp. We recommend students wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing on days when they have Phys. Ed. class as students will not have access to change rooms at this time. We are recommending that students bring their water bottles with them to Phys. Ed. class. Students are not required to wear masks outside as long as physical distancing is possible.

When we are unable to use outdoor space for Phys. Ed. class due to inclement weather, we will be accessing the gym space. When in the gym, students must wear masks at all times. When students are required to wear masks, we will adjust activities so that students will not be engaging in strenuous physical activities. All activities in Phys. Ed. will adhere to public health recommended guidelines.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
