Central School Council – Nomination & First Meeting Tues Oct 5, 2021 6pm on MS TEAMS

Central Families,

We will be having a online meeting on Tuesday, October 5th at 6:00 pm where we will hold elections for our school council for this school year. Positions that we will be looking to fill include: School Council Chair or Co- Chairs, Secretary, Treasurer, Parent/Guardian Representatives and Community Representative. If you would like more information about these roles please contact the school and speak with the Principal or our ESL Teacher Mr. Kore. Both myself as the Principal and Mr. Kore our Teacher Rep will be members of the school council and will be available to support and guide where needed. We are encouraging all of our families to be involved as we hope to have many voices representing shared interests in our school community. The role of the school council is to: advise the Principal and the school board, place student interests first, support school goals and initiatives, encourage parent and community involvement and promote positive attitudes towards public education.

Central School Council will meet 5 times per school year and these dates and times will be determined at our first meeting on Tuesday,  October 5th at 6pm. If you are interested in attending this meeting please email the school at [email protected] or contact us at 905 522 9690 so that we can add your name to the invite list. Those that contact us will receive a MS Teams meeting invite for the meeting on Tues, Oct 5th at 6pm. All meetings will be online this school year.
