Care for NEWCOMER Children

The Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) program provides a stimulating, safe and happy environment for children to grow and learn while parents study.

Child care available to LINC students

Eligibility (age of children)

  • 6 months to five (5) years old

Caregiver-to-child ratios

  • One (1) Caregiver to five (5) children – children 19 months to 35 months old
  • One (1) Caregiver to eight (8) children – children 36 months to 5 years old
  • Our child care staff are all Early Childhood Educators


  • CNC is a half day program 9:00 -11:45 a.m. at the Hill Park and Parkway Learning Centres

The program fills the children with confidence, introduces them to new friends and is LOTS OF FUN!!

To learn is to playClassroom setting

  • Our colourful rooms help children feel safe and comfortable while they enjoy many activities.
  • Classrooms are equipped with toys and materials that encourage learning through play and help the children prepare for kindergarten.


Learning English is easy and fun and they children learn English through play, song , story reading in an emergent curriculum.

(117)While you learn, your child will participate in high quality programs including:

  • Kindergarten readiness
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Circle Time (songs, stories, language)
  • Gross Motor Play
  • Sensory Play (water, sand, play dough, etc.)
  • Free play with many of toys
