Take a “Book Walk” with Storytime Trails
This week, HWDSB families are invited to get outside and read with Storytime Trails.
The Storytime Trails program encourages students and families to take “book walks” by printing Canadian books as a series of signs that can be posted outdoors in participating school yards. Books include topics on essential issues in Canada and are suitable for students from kindergarten to grade 5. Each book has a QR code which links families to expanded content including videos, activities and more.
Contact your local HWDSB elementary school to find out when their Storytime Trail will be posted.

Set up our Storytime Trail of Where Oliver Fits @HessSchool. Loved watching our Ss go and explore the text and read it before school and during NB. ❤️📖 @HWDSB @RSHWDSB @ChelseaDuffy16 pic.twitter.com/FrlxmVYrya

Storytime Trail! Thanks to Mrs. Gailing, FP’s Reading Specialist, for organizing for us! Thought-provoking questions, connections & making inferences.
