Hamilton Community News Searching for Hometown Heroes

2020 has been a year full of challenges. COVID-19 has forced many of us to adapt, but Hamilton has continued to push on. There are countless examples of community members lending a helping hand or making sacrifices to help others. Here is an opportunity for those stories to be told.

Hamilton Community News is asking for stories about people that have “gone above and beyond to uplift their family, neighbours or community during the pandemic.” The Ancaster, Dundas, Hamilton Mountain, and Stoney Creek residents that end up being featured will be recognized as a Hometown Hero.

HWDSB knows there are countless heroes within our community, as these stories come across our desks on a daily basis. Whether you are a student, staff member, caregiver or partner, we want you to share these successes. Hamilton deserves to hear about these acts of kindness, generosity, and hope.

If you feel you have a story to share, email [email protected] with details about your personal Hometown Hero and the work the have accomplished. Hamilton Community News asks that you include your name and phone number in case you need to be contacted for additional details. The submission deadline is December 13 at 5 p.m. and a selection of stories will be published in early January.
