Here is how Earth Day 2022 was Celebrated Across HWDSB
Earth Day is an annual event that takes place on April 22. The first edition took place in 1970 as a way to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Even it its early years, Earth Day was a cause supported by young people around the world. It is clear that today’s children and youth feel the same passion about issues facing our planet, as many took part in activities and events.
On Friday, April 22, 2022, we saw numerous HWDSB students, staff, classrooms, and schools take part in Earth Day activities. There were cleanups, themed lessons, art projects, and much more.
Thank you for sharing your Earth Day 2022 fun on social media! Here are some highlights:

We’re learning about micro and macro ways to protect and preserve Mother Earth. Of course, we’ve taken our devices outside to do so in the sunlight ☀️ @GuyBrown_HWDSB @HWDSB pic.twitter.com/BFbel31Scq
