Open House and More
We are excited to welcome all our families to our Spring Open House/Fun Fair on May 26th between 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. There are many things to check out during the evening:

Story Trail – outdoor story board located on our West playground
Garden – This is a collaboration between some of our Kindergarten (Spada/Axon) and some Grade 7 (Harris) students. They have been learning about sustainable development, including food insecurity. Together they have researched how to plant and care for a garden and are planning to donate the harvest to the Flamborough Food Bank. In addition, they are raising funds to install a living wall at Balaclava to grow vegetables indoors all year round. Stop by their table for more details, including ways to support financially.
Our Educators will be on site, many of them volunteering at different stations throughout the evening. Classrooms will be open between 6-7 p.m. for students to share some of their learning with family. Should you wish to discuss your child’s progress with their educator, please make arrangements to have a private call or meeting, Open House is not an appropriate time to discuss a child’s progress.
Open House/Fun Fair is a collaboration between our staff and Home and School Association. A big thank you to all our volunteers. Without your support we could not offer such a fabulous community event.
Online Safety
Now more than ever we need to understand the risks to better equip our children to be safe online. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection has a video and further materials families may wish to review.
