Community Agency – supported Vaccine Clinics

This week! Two new mobile clinics for COVID-19 vaccinations have been announced in neighbourhoods with large newcomer and immigrant populations.

  • June 9 & 10, 9am to 4:30pm – Central Memorial Recreation Centre parking lot
  • June 12 & 13, 9am to 4:30pm – Lake Avenue School parking lot

Each clinic will offer some live interpretation plus phone interpretation in a wide range of languages:

June 9 – Spanish & Mandarin
June 10 – Spanish & Arabic
June 12 – French, Arabic, Hindi, Rajasthani, Kajrati
June 13 – Arabic & Hindi, Rajasthani, Kajrati

The clinics will see approximately 300 individuals per day and are open to the 12+ population. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered.

Current clients of Immigrants Working Centre, Wesley, YMCA, and YWCA can contact their settlement workers directly to book appointments.

YWCA is accepting non-client bookings through its general reception line: (905) 522-9922.

HIPC is also able to book some spots, and this can be done by phoning 905-546-2424 x7565 9am to 5pm. Voicemail messages will be returned.

Both clinics will accept walk-in appointments.

Dress for the weather and waiting outdoors. Clinics are held under a tent and may be canceled in case of thunderstorms.
