Term 1 Report Cards

The HWDSB has directed that Term 1 Report Cards will be issued electronically on February 19th through School Messenger. Parents/caregivers, you will need your child’s birthdate to access the report. Should you require assistance please contact our offices. Additionally, a signed paper copy will be sent home with students on March 4th. Paper copies of Individual Education Plans, where applicable will be sent home as well.

Covid Protocols

We thank you for your diligence in following the daily screening requirements. Please remember if your child/ren fail the screen they may not attend school and it is advised you contact Public Health at (905) 974-9848 for further direction. We have once again included links to these resources in the hopes of assisting families with this task:

Return to school Attestation – please remember this is required following an illness or isolation before your child/ren can return to in person school. It can be submitted electronically through the Parent Portal or printed and sent in with your child/ren the day they return.

Thought Exchange – Draft Mission, Vision and Commitments 

We have compiled the results of the Thought Exchange Vision questions, identified common themes among students, staff and parents/caregivers, and used these findings to draft a Mission, Vision and Commitments for Balaclava School. These have been shared with staff and School Council for input and will be shared with the broader community shortly. Thank you for your contributions!
