Boys Non Contact Hockey: Covid-19 puts damper on season

The Boys Non-Contact Hockey league was midway through it’s playoffs when it was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  The league was down to its final four teams with Westmout and Sir Allan MacNab along with Dundas Valley and Westdale ready to face off in the semifinals.

The regular season saw Westmount record a perfect 7-0 season while Westdale earned the No. 2 seed with a 6-1 record.  Orchard Park finished third with a 4-3 record but lost in the quarter finals to No. 6 ranked Sir Allan MacNab.  No. 5 Dundas Valley also upset No. 4 seed Guido de Bres to advance to the semifinals.

The semifinals were set to be played immediately following March Break, but COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the remainder of the season and no champion was declared. (Results / Standings)
