Outdoor Sports for Oct. 2 (Status Update)

Due to the amount of rainfall and questions HWDSB Athletics is receiving regarding it’s events planned for October 2, 2018, we are providing a status update for secondary athletics programming.  NOTE this is subject to change

As of  3:00pm on Monday, October 1, 2018

• Girls Grade 9 Soccer – Postponed – Mohawk field is likely to be closed on October 2
  • Information about both the Boys & Girls tournaments will be forthcoming once logistics are secured with the City.
• Junior Tennis @ Rosedale Club – Will proceed on Oct. 2 as scheduled (start time has been adjusted to 11:30am)
• Field Hockey – Will proceed on Oct. 2 as scheduled.  (Heritage Green Turf is open)
• Baseball – Decision to be made before 12:00pm on Oct. 2 (presently they will remain scheduled as is)
  • For October 1st postponed games – teams should be prepared to play on Thursday or Friday.  Information will be distributed to schools coaching staff.
