End of Year Communication 2024

As we come to the end of another positive and exciting year at Ancaster Meadow, we would like to share some important information and dates with our families.  

Paul Davis – Digital Safety 

We are looking forward to our guest speaker, Paul Davis, who will be presenting at Ancaster Meadow this Tuesday, June 25th. Age-appropriate student presentations will take place during the day (Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8). We encourage our grade 8 students to return to school to take part in some important learning about their digital presence and how to stay safe (12:00 pm). Parents and Guardians are invited to attend our evening presentation at 6 pm in the gymnasium. The presentation will be geared towards adults. There is no cost, thanks to Parent Council! 

Report Cards  

Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, June 26th. The last school day for students is Thursday, June 27th.   

Class Placements for September 2024  

It is important for families to know that the caring staff at Ancaster Meadow School engage in a lengthy and thoughtful process to determine class placements that will support student success and achievement. Many factors, including current and potential relationships that impact multiple students, are taken into consideration and once class placement is determined, no changes will be made.   

Class placements for September 2024 can be found in the Parent Portal beginning the week of August 26th.  Please check the portal on or after this date to find this information. Take note of your child’s OEN number (found on the report card) as you’ll need this number to access the information.
 

Please know that at times, HWDSB needs to reorganize classes in late fall. If this occurs at our school, we will notify families promptly.  

Meet the Staff Event 2024 

We look forward to making connections as early as possible in the school year. Ancaster Meadow will be hosting our Meet the Staff event on Thursday, September 12th, 2024. Times and details will follow. 

Lost & Found 

Please join us in reminding students to look at the items in the Lost & Found area to see if anything can be found! We will be donating all unclaimed items at the end of the year to a local shelter. 

The staff at Ancaster Meadow School wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible volunteers, parents, and caregivers for their continuous support and partnership in our children’s education. We wish each family an enjoyable and relaxing summer, and we are looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year!
