Principal Update Feb 5 – School Closed Thurs Feb 5 and Fri Feb 6

This week saw students in grade 7 and 8 participate in our school Science Fair. It was exciting to see all the projects and a number of students will be moving on to the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF).

The provincial labour situation continues to change on an ongoing basis. Families should pay attention to the HWDSB Labour Updates on a regular basis.

Due to strike action the school is closed on Thursday Feb 6 and Friday Feb 7.  If no agreement is reached, schools will also be closed on Tuesday Feb 11 and Thursday Feb 13.

All extracurricular activities have also been postponed.

Lunchbox Orders will be managing the scheduled lunch deliveries on a day by day basis. If classes are cancelled on a Thursday, Lunchbox Orders will cancel the order and a credit will be placed on your Lunchbox Orders account.  The credit will be applied to your next transaction at the time of check out. HWDSB Community Flyer distribution. As part of being more environmentally friendly, the HWDSB is looking at having community organizations that have previously distributed paper flyers through schools do so electronically. The flyers must meet certain criteria but do not have HWDSB endorsement for the program. Flyers can be found at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/community/flyers/#tabs-112
