COVID-19 Outbreak Designation at Hill Park Learning Centre

Hamilton Public Health Services (HPHS) notified Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) today that an outbreak has been declared as a result of recent cases at our school.

According to COVID-19 Guidance: School Outbreak Management, an outbreak in a school is defined as two or more lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases in students and/or staff (or other visitors) in a school with an epidemiological link, within a 14-day period, where at least one case could have reasonably acquired their infection in the school (including transportation and before/after school care).

If you are tested for COVID-19, please inform the lab that this is outbreak #: 2237-2021-48063

Families are reminded to screen daily for COVID-19 symptoms using the provincial COVID-19 school and child care screening tool. Parents/guardians/caregivers, as well as students, should use this screening tool to help decide if you or your child/ren should or should not go to school/child care. All confirmed cases have been posted on our website. For more details about this case, please see the HWDSB COVID-19 Dashboard.
