School Entry Procedures

Student safety is of paramount importance at Adelaide Hoodless School.  We are once again reminding you of our entry procedures and thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Our instructional day begins at 8:50 am. Staff are on the playground supervising at 8:35 am.  Please ensure your child arrives at least 5 minutes before the instructional day (8:45 am) to ensure a smooth entry and an efficient start to the instructional day. This playground door is supervised and unlocked until 9:00 am.  Students who enter through this door will do so unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. This is to ensure student safety and to keep our stairwells and corridors clear of extra bodies. Although the doors are open until 9:00 am, please understand that it is the expectation that your child arrives prior to 8:50. Being on time is an important life skill. Students who arrive even a few minutes after the entry bell  experience difficulty transitioning into the learning environment.

The front entry doors are locked at 8:50. No one will be admitted through these doors unless prior arrangements have been made through the school administration and office staff. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We have also directed our Early On staff to not allow anyone to enter through the Early On doors. These expectations are not meant to inconvenience you,  but rather are to ensure all students are safe while at Adelaide Hoodless.
