Confirmed Cases of COVID-19

At HWDSB, we will inform students, families and staff about confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our schools, in alignment with Ministry of Education guidelines.

We will post information to this page when we receive Hamilton Public Health Services (PHS) confirmation of a confirmed COVID-19 case involving a student or staff member in a school setting. To protect their privacy, we will not identify the student or staff member that has tested positive for COVID-19.

If PHS advises HWDSB that a class, cohort or school should be temporarily closed, we will inform the school community immediately.

To avoid confusion, confirmed cases are removed from this page when the individual is cleared to return to school.

The information here will be updated upon notification of confirmed cases by Hamilton Public Health Services (PHS).
