Labour Update for Parents re: Extracurricular Activities

HWDSB would like to inform parents of the latest development in labour negotiations involving the provincial Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO).

ETFO has announced that its members across Ontario will escalate their current job action next week if an agreement is not reached. If this occurs, it would mean that elementary teachers and occasional teachers will withdraw from all voluntary extracurricular activities in Ontario public schools beginning Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015.

At HWDSB, we know this is difficult for our community. We remain hopeful about negotiations and will provide updates when they are available. Thank you for your patience.
