Water Testing for Lead

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers

Water testing for lead continues at our school, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07).

As the results continue to come in, a concern was identified with a water fixture.  The water fixture showed an exceedance on the standing sample but passed upon flushing the fixture. We will continue to flush all drinking water fixtures each day.

In addition to informing the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, our Health & Safety representatives have consulted with Public Health to ensure appropriate corrective actions have been taken for the safety of your child. This includes any requirements prescribed in the regulation as well as any additional actions required by Public Health.
