Had an authentic learning experience in Mendelian genetics today in Dr. DeCatanzaro’s class. A student shared her real-life learning about Mendelian genetics through her experiences breeding rabbits. Students were challenged to make connections between the bunnies they had the opportunity to directly see and the relationship to genetics and pedigree.
