| Our
school is a busy and diverse community. We teach from JK to grade
8. The school population is approximately 550. Our school is slightly
over 50 years old, the same age as the surrounding neighbourhood.
We look forward to having
you join us. After you sign in at the school office, you will want
to meet the teaching partner of the staff member whom you are replacing.
This is most likely a staff member whose classroom is close to the
one you'll be in. They can bring you up to speed on various items
and assist you if necessary.
When you arrive at our
school, the parking lot is on the northeast corner, off of Summerhill
Avenue. The school is away from busy streets and is surrounded by
attractive homes. Look for our excellent paved outdoor play area,
including a basketball court, and shaded at the west end by a huge
American Elm tree. Our grassy playing field is spacious and well-kept.
Entering the school from
parking lot, keep in mind that the school is basically H-shaped.
