December Events & Celebrations

Candy Cane Sales will happen from December  12th to 15th
Go Girls will be selling candy canes in the front foyer at 1st nutrition break.  Candy Canes are 50 cents each and money raised will go to help make a few families’ Christmas a little merrier, either in the school or the community.  

Winter Concert on December 12th at 6:30 pm
Join us at 6:30 pm on Monday, December 12th for our annual WINTER MELODIES concert. Performances by our Grade 7 Band and Grade 8 bands, SWO Chorus, Grade 6 classes, and various solos and small ensembles. Admission $2 per person.

Winter Concert for all JK – 8 Students on December 13th – 9:30 am
Students at SWO will be able to enjoy the concert in Periods 1 and 2 on Tuesday, December 13 to watch their peers and classmates perform many different styles of music.  

Joy Day on December 15th for Grade 1 to 4 students!
A day of joy making a craft and sharing in fun activities together.  Students are encouraged to wear red, green and white.

PJ Day on December 20th for all students!
Let’s enjoy a comfy and cosy day of PJs together. Students are asked to donate a toonie or canned good. Donations will go to local food bank and Food For Kids.

Go Girls Spa Time on December 20th from 1:15 pm – 3:30 pm in the Learning Commons
An afternoon of facials and fun.  

Holiday Dance & Bake Sale on December 16th for  Grade 6 to 8  beginning at 1:54 pm – 3:30 pm
Toonie for dance entry.  Leadership Council is organizing the event and the proceeds will go to Food 4 Kids and families in need in our community.  Reminder:  Grade 8 students bring in nut-free baked goods.
