Sir Wilfrid Laurier

School Council

A+ A-

School Council plays a vital role in the education system in Ontario. It provides a forum through which parents and other members of the school community can contribute to improving student achievement and school performance. A SWL-Parent-Council-By-Laws-Constitution has been developed by the Council.

Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s School Council members make recommendations to the Principal/Vice-Principal and the School Board on any matter. Principals and School Boards, in turn, consult with our School Council on a variety of matters that affect student learning. They must also consider recommendations made by School Council and report back to the Council on how they plan to act on their advice.

All Laurier parents are welcome to attend the meetings! Please watch for Laurier School Council information in our monthly newsletters. We appreciate your ongoing support.

A great School Council makes a great School Experience for your child!
