A Message from Healthy Dragons

Hi parents/caregivers,

Sir Isaac Brock’s Health Action Team planted cherry tomato plants two (2) weeks ago and we will send them home on Friday June 23! Students interested in taking one home will be sent with a small tomato plant in a paper bag and instructions for summer care.  If you do not want your child coming home with a plant, let them know! Otherwise they may ask us for one and we might give it to them.  Happy tomato eating this summer!

IMPORTANT – Have You Registered for Kindergarten Yet?

Just a friendly reminder that if you have not yet registered your child for the next school year, to please do so as class building is already underway.  If your child is four (4) or five (5) by December 31st (kindergarten attendance is optional), or age six (6) by September 1st (full time school attendance is required), please remember to come in to the school to register.  You will need to complete a registration form (http://www.hwdsb.on.ca/earlyyears/kindergarten/#Register), and bring in proof of age (your child’s birth certificate / passport, etc.), proof of address (utility bill, lease, etc.), and your child’s immunization.  We look forward to seeing you and registering your child for school!

Are You Moving?

If you already know you will be moving, or your child will not be coming to Sir Isaac Brock School in September, please email me or call and leave a voicemail message at (905) 561-0223.  We are planning for next year, and appreciate your assistance.

Just a friendly reminder…It is a Board policy to ensure each and every child arrives to school safely.  As a result, we ask that you please keep us informed if your child will be absent due to illness, an appointment, vacation plans, etc.  Our phone lines are open 24-hours a day, and you can leave a detailed voicemail message at any time by calling (905) 561-0814.

Have a wonderful week!
