Out-of-Catchment

Elementary/Secondary 'Out-of-Catchment' 2009/2010 Application

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board has created attendance boundaries for each of its schools. This allows the Board to make the most effective use of its schools and staff. Students who live within the boundaries are eligible to attend their “home school” and may be eligible for Transportation services, depending on the family’s home address. In some cases, families want their child to attend a school that is not their “home school”. Parents/guardians should contact principal of the requested school (not your child’s home school) to obtain a copy of the Out-of-Catchment Application. Principals will review the applications they receive and will offer registration to families if space allows, using the criteria found on the application form.

Please contact the principal with any questions you may have about the out-of-catchment application process.
