Hamilton Reader & Writer’s Festival – GritLit – VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
We have a volunteer opportunity for high school students. We need people to distribute and collect audience surveys at all festival events. In between, volunteers would be welcome to sit in on the readings. We are a registered charity and can sign-off on volunteer hours.
The festival runs from Thursday, April 6th – Sunday, April 9th, and events take place Thursday/ Friday/Saturday evenings and Saturday/Sunday afternoons. Events are at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. All volunteers would need to be able to get themselves to the AGH, and some volunteers are needed to work until the end of evening events (10:45pm).
Anyone who is interested should email [email protected] before March 25th, 2017 and let us know that she/he would like to be a youth volunteer. There will be a one-hour, mandatory training session for all youth volunteers on Friday, March 31st at 4:30pm at Collaboration Station (294 James St N, Hamilton). Anyone who wants to volunteer but is unable to attend the training session should indicate that in the email. We will try to make alternate arrangements.
