Volunteers needed for charity event – March 4, 2017

On March 4, 2017, Camp Quality Southern Ontario is hosting its first ever CQ Golden Gala fundraiser in Hamilton, ON in support of its Southern Ontario site. The event will be held at the Grand Olympia on Barton Street.

Volunteers would help with registration, set up and assist with ticket sales at the event. We will need volunteers from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. which will help contribute four hours to any high school student’s necessary volunteer hours.

Camp Quality is a volunteer-driven, non-profit charitable organization empowering kids with cancer across Canada. Our year-round programming and free week-long camps give kids with cancer the power to turn life’s challenges into adventures. For one week, campers are no longer defined by their cancer. At Camp Quality, they have the freedom to explore new activities, make friends, and gain memories that will last a lifetime.
The fundraising event is in support of Camp Quality’s move to a larger camp facility in 2017 that will allow for a 50% increase in camper attendance, and will ensure every child has the opportunity to attend CQ Southern Ontario. We’re raising money through dinner ticket sales, sponsorships, donations and a silent auction. All funds raised will go towards a better camp experience for our amazing campers and families.
