“Do you Know What your Child Wishes you Knew?” will be held from 7-9 pm at SilverCity, Hamilton Mountain (795 Paramount Drive, Stone Creek).
“Fight the New Drug” will offer an informative, engaging, and straight-forward presentation focusing on educating parents on the harmful effects of pornography and empowering them with knowledge on how to protect their kids. With videos, graphics, and testimonials from actual teenagers, the presenter exposes the generation gap between parents and their kids in regard to pornography.
Parents/Caregivers will:
- Learn the scope of the issue and how it is affecting today’s generation of teens.
- Be taught how pornography is addictive and causes effects in the brain similar to drugs.
- Learn how to address the issue with their kids and how to protect their home.
- Learn about various types of social media and websites where dangerous internet activity occurs among teens.
- Feel comfortable talking about a typically uncomfortable yet important topic.
