Parent-Teacher Communication

Last updated on Monday, February 14, 2011.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the students´ core teacher with any questions or concerns. While most interviews follow the report cards, teachers encourage interviews throughout the year, whenever the need arises.

Following the issuance of report cards, Parent-Teacher interviews are conducted. Parents are encouraged to attend an interview and discuss their child´s progress. Support and communication between home and school help to ensure the success of students.

Since middle school students have different teachers for various subjects, interviews are generally conducted by the core teacher. The core teacher has daily contact with students and monitors progress in all subject areas on an ongoing basis. In this way the advisor is best informed about a student´s overall progress. In some instances however, a parent may wish to see a subject teacher, in addition to the core teacher.

While most interviews follow the report cards, teachers encourage interviews throughout the year, whenever the need arises. Please contact the subject teacher directly to arrange a meeting.
