Rousseau school is a one floor building, constructed in 1958. It has grassed areas with mature trees, three tarvia areas and an exciting creative playground. There have been several renovations completed in the last few years.

The school is well established, so we now teach the children of former Rousseau graduates. We serve about 250 children, from JK to grade 6, on a balanced day schedule. Rousseau is a community school with a big heart and strong traditions including supporting local, national and international charities and families, as well as an annual “Fun Fair”.

Rousseau enjoys the benefit of a large number of volunteers, who give of their time daily. They work with children individually or in small groups, with clubs or sports, with driving students to events, with chaperoning students on trips, with School Council or with other activities.

This statement captures what Rousseau stands for: “Rousseau is a place, where we have a Passion for Learning, and where our students come to school because it is fun to learn in a respectful environment.”
