Extra-curricular updates

January is becoming a busy place at Rousseau! Our Junior Robotics team have started to prepare for the HWDSB Robotics competition in April. Thanks to Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Johnson for leading the team. Thanks to Ms. Ali and Ms. Valla who are starting to plan for an intramural indoor soccer league for our primary and junior students. They will also coach a Grade 4/5 indoor soccer team to compete at a tournament in late February. Many thanks to Mrs. Steinberg who has offered to be our volunteer head coach for the Grade 5/6 Girls and Boys Basketball team. Basketball is starting this week so check out our Student Activities webpage and school calendar for important information and dates. Thanks to the leadership of Mr. Berg, our Grade 1/2 and Gr. 3-6 Lego Clubs will also be starting soon! Thank you to Mr. Obermeyer who will be leading our junior checkers team to the HWDSB Checkers Meet on February 27. Students can also chose to participate in Mad Science which begins at the end of the month. Our primary and junior choirs continue to sound amazing under the leadership of Mrs. Crocker, Ms. Stinson, Mrs. Bishop and Ms. Fawcett. Go Rams!
