Grade 5 Volunteers for the Grade 6 year-end Celebration

Grade 5 Caregivers/Volunteers are invited at this time to volunteer for the Grade 6 Celebration on Wednesday, June 20^th , 2018! There are many ways that Grade 5 families can help to make the Grade 6 celebration a success! School staff have planned the Ceremony, and volunteer tasks have been sub-divided into Grade 6 Caregiver tasks (June 19th) and Grade 5 Caregiver tasks (June 20th) so that Grade 6 Caregivers can relax and enjoy their child’s celebration day. We appreciate the time you may be able to give as a Grade 5 volunteer this year! Please see the tasks below, and email [email protected] if you are able to help out, specifying which task/time.

Your turn will come next year to enjoy the Grade 6 Celebration day with your child, when Grade 5 Caregivers volunteer.
Please note: Volunteers in schools are required to have a current police check.
All Grade 5 family volunteer tasks are facilitated by a Grade 5 Caregiver/Volunteer, who works in partnership with the Lead Grade 6 Caregiver/Volunteer and the Grade 6 Teachers.
Tasks assigned by school on first-come first-served basis. Thank you in advance!

Grade 5 Volunteer Tasks

ONE (1) Lead Grade 5 Volunteer (2018: Rhea Lalla) to co-ordinate with Lead Grade 6 Parent– in the weeks before June 20^th
THREE (3) Grade 5 Volunteer to set up (9:30 a.m.) Wed., June 20^th starting at 9:30 a.m. — The Library
THREE (3) Grade 5 Volunteer to serve (11:30 a.m.) & tidy-up refreshments (12:30 p.m.) on the Celebration Day – coordinating with Lead Grade 5 Volunteer Wed., June 20^th starting at 11:30 a.m. — The Library
THREE (3) Grade 5 Volunteers to help switch the gym from “ceremony set-up” to “dance set-up”; requires lifting (set-up floor plan will be readily available) (June 20^th @ 11:30 p.m. -12:30 p.m.)
