It is expected that all children will learn at least the essential knowledge, concepts and skills needed so that they can be successful at the next level next year. Further, it has been found that when school improvement processes based upon the effective schools research are implemented, the proportions of students that achieve academic excellence either improves, or at the very least, remains the same.

EDUCATION FOR ALL

Why Forget-me-Not?
At Rosedale School, no child is forgotten. We understand that regardless of a childs ability, he or she CAN learn. It is our mission to ensure that students who are achieving below the Provincial Standard (Level 3or "B"), will receive what he or she needs in order to meet with success.
Why Family Literacy?
Often parents are not aware of the strong influence they have on their children's attitudes towards literacy and learning. (Taylor 1983. Purcell-Gates 1993.) In homes where parents have low literacy skills and do not model learning as an important value, the literacy and learning of their children can be negatively influenced. In fact, illiteracy is often intergenerational. MORE
