A+ A-

On behalf of the staff of Richard Beasley School, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all of our returning students and families, as well as the many new students and families that have moved into our community. We’re all looking forward to what will no doubt be another great year!

Richard Beasley School, named for one of Hamilton’s first settlers, has been a learning centre in the Berrisfield Community for over 50 years. Our school is rich in history, and we are proud to teach and support roughly 180 students from FDK to Grade 5.

Here at Richard Beasley we work together to build our classroom and school-wide Learning Communities on the foundational Ministry of Education’s Learning Skills and Work Habits. We strive to create a positive environment where everyone is cared for, respected and safe in order to help students reach their full potential.

Parents are a critical part of our students’ learning experience. You can assist your child by reading school correspondence, checking the agenda, helping your child with their assignments, and by reading both ‘to’ and ‘with’ them at home. Schools are also always grateful for any time that you can give. Before, during, or after school. Whether it’s on a field trip, in a classroom, or helping with snack programs and fundraising initiatives … we always appreciate the help!

I invite you to visit the school website from time to time in order to learn more about initiatives and activities at the school and please do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns about your child’s education. Working together is the best way to support our students.

As part of our Board’s Safe Schools Policy, when visiting Richard Beasley School, please remember to check in at the office and not go beyond the front lobby.  Thank you for helping to keep our students safe at school!

Mrs. L. Williams, Interim Principal
