Holiday Message

Principal’s Message

Twas the day before winter break while sitting in the gym

The staff and students were all waiting for holidays to begin

We sang some songs and recognized our clubs and teams

And started to think about what is in store for 2018.

 

The students all nestled in their favourite pjs,

All looking forward to the next few days.

The staff are excited for the dismissal bell to ring,

To see what fun this set of holidays will bring!

 

We’ve worked hard this year on our reading and writing

The learning we have engaged in has certainly been exciting.

In math we have learned about the book by Van de Walle

So many lessons and ideas, will we be able to try them all?

 

Our Student Council has been busy this year

As their ideas and activities make our students cheer.

Our band has been working hard on perfecting the score

They left the audience at the concert wanting some more

 

All the sports teams we’ve had I can’t even recall

But they brought home some banners to hang on our wall

To the staff we say thank you for giving of your selves

You’ve worked just as hard like a group of Santa’s elves

 

We have done so much this year to also give back

We collected enough food to fill Santa’s sack

We collected some toys and given to new mothers

It’s inspiring to see what we have done for so many others

 

There are so many exciting things still to come

Many new things to learn and even some fun

We hope you enjoy this long winter break

And some quality time with your family be sure to take.
