Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) French Immersion registration ends on Thursday, November 30, 2017, for parents looking to enrol their child in Grade 1.
HWDSB has introduced a new system-wide application process for entry into French Immersion, which starts in Grade 1. The application is available to all students within Hamilton and offers a guaranteed placement in the program, but not necessarily at their French Immersion in-catchment school.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers
Recently, our school underwent water testing for lead, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07). As a result of this testing, concerns were identified within the school. Corrective actions are now in place, and lead levels have been reduced to acceptable levels.

HWDSB will hold a Pathways Information Night to help families and students in grades 7 to 12 learn more about the variety of high school options available and plan their high school years.
Students in grades 9 to 12 can also meet partners who can help them earn Community Involvement Hours.
Wednesday, November 1 at LIUNA Station (360 James St. N.). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and you can drop in anytime until 9 p.m.
At HWDSB, we know that parent engagement fosters student success. We want to be as clear as possible about changes to how schools report on learning in Kindergarten.
In the past at HWDSB, family members could attend “observation visits” in Kindergarten. For the 2017-18 school year, we will be using the new, written Kindergarten report provided by the Ministry of Education.
Because every student is unique in their learning, HWDSB staff strive to provide programs that help all students reach their full potential. French Immersion is one such program.
The program is open to all students in Hamilton-Wentworth starting in Grade 1.
