As you know, in June 2014, HWDSB Trustees approved the closure of Beverly Central and Dr. John Seaton and the construction of a new school on the Beverly Community Centre property, off Hwy. 8 in Rockton.
HWDSB is committed to this project and we anxiously awaiting provincial and municipal approvals. Once we have these approvals, we will hold a community meeting to update you on the project. Once construction begins, we expect it will take 12 – 16 months before we can move into the new school.

HWDSB has introduced a new system-wide application process for entry into French Immersion, which starts in Grade 1. The application is available to all students within Hamilton and offers a guaranteed placement in the program, but not necessarily at their French Immersion in-catchment school.

Our Spirit Day was a big success today with many of our students and staff wearing spirit wear and/or green and white. We raised $68.75 for World Vision. Thank you for your support!
Danceathon Pledge Forms are due on Monday October 23 in order to be eligible to qualify for prizes.
This Friday October 20 is Queen`s Rangers Spirit Day. Students are asked to be creative with their attire focussing on school colours of green and white or school spirit wear. Donations of a loonie or toonie will go to support World Vision.

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) released the 2016-17 assessment results in the areas of Primary and Junior Reading, Writing and Mathematics, as well as the results of the Grade 9 Mathematics assessment and the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).
Popcorn, Frozen Yogurt and Cookie Sales will begin again on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Popcorn and frozen yogurt are $2.00 each and cookies are $1.00 each. All products are nut safe.

At the May 29, 2017, Board meeting, Trustees approved a recommendation for the Ancaster Accommodation Review to rebuild C.H. Bray and Rousseau Elementary Schools on their existing sites, build an addition at Ancaster Senior Elementary School and close Fessenden and Queen’s Rangers Elementary Schools once the new schools and the addition are constructed.
This approval also requires a boundary review to determine the boundaries of the new schools at the Beverly Community Centre site and C.H. Bray. The schools involved in the boundary review include the new school at Greensville (Greensville and Spencer Valley), the new school at Beverly Community Centre Site (Beverly Central and Dr. John Seaton), Queen’s Rangers, C.H. Bray and Sir William Osler.
