Here are some resources that may useful in supporting your child at home this year:

A Parent’s Guide to the Fundamentals of Math.

Making sure that students have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of math is one of the best ways to prepare them for success, now and in the future. This guide, created by the Ontario Ministry of Education, outlines some of the key skills students should have by the end of Grades 3, 6, and 8, and ideas of how you can support skill growth at home.

Inspiring Your Child to Learn and Love Math is a tool kit for parents developed by the Council of Ontario Directors of Education (CODE). This toolkit was created specifically for parents of children in the elementary grades in Ontario (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8). The toolkit emphasizes the many ways in which parents’ help and support plays an important role in inspiring their children to learn and love mathematics.

This free site is an amazing resource. There are lessons, videos, and practice questions for almost every conceivable topic in Math, Science, and more. (Note: Many student in older grade already have free accounts/logins.)

YouCubed.

A great resource site (from Stanford University) for parents with videos and articles with strategies / ideas to help support your child in Math this year.
