Our Deaf & Hard-Of-Hearing Programme... Queensdale is proud to have as an important and unique part of its school, the only pre-school and primary public elementary Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program in this geographical area. Children are transported daily from all over Hamilton-Wentworth to receive the special services provided at Queensdale. Due to a special provision under the Ministry of Education, children may begin regular attendance in the pre- school program at two years of age. After completing grade 3 at Queensdale, students may attend G.L. Armstrong for specialized programming from a teacher of the Deaf. We at Queensdale are proud of our team approach to providing the best program for all students. The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program is not just housed within our Deaf/Hard of Hearing classes, but is an important integral part of our school. At all levels the students are integrated in meaningful and beneficial school activities. Through working together and always considering and respecting the needs of each child, Queensdale strives to provide an environment where each student can achieve his or her full potential.
